Since I first started the Facebook group, I have longed for there to be a sense of community and support around REID.  The last thing I want is for it to come off as though any single person has all of the answers, myself included.  It is so important we recognize we are not alone in this and that we ALL learn from each other. Because of our community, I was able to meet an incredible REID mom that is navigating the balancing act of healing and cooking nourishing meals, all while making her family and faith a priority. Ashley, thank you for inspiring us to do better and for sharing this delicious herbal tahini dressing recipe (and photo) with our community. You can follow Ashley on Instagram at @apronsandarmor.

Ingredients

2 tbsp Tahini

1/2 small lemon juiced

2 tbsp. olive oil

1/4 c. water

1 tsp. honey

1 green onion

1 handful of fresh parsley

Instructions

Combine all ingredients into a high-powered blender or food processor.  Blend until well combined and serve.

Tidbits

Citric acid (a form of free glutamate) is often added to tahini, so you will want to make sure you purchase clean raw tahini. Sesame seeds are naturally high in oxalate and bound* glutamate, minimal processing is key.
