The dreaded stomach bug!  When it hits, you’re pretty much willing to try ANYTHING to get it to stop, at least this is true for us.  Surprisingly enough, our son has never had the stomach bug.  However I have, and homeopathy has been a freaking lifesaver.  I’ve created a chart below to give you an idea of which remedy to use when the dreaded stomach bug hits.  While not ideal, I’ve been known to try more than one, just to get the pain from stoping .  In addition to homeopathy, I’ve included some easy remedies I have found to be beneficial in relieving the sour stomach funk.

Homeopathy: Homeopathy is unlike traditional medicine and is hugely dependent on the state of the person and symptoms. (I would NOT advise taking these unless you’re working under the care of a practitioner).  However, these remedies may be beneficial in treating an upset stomach. Here is a chart I created to help determine which remedy to use. I personally will give myself one or two dry pellets of 30c if in the middle of extreme nausea. Again, I am just a mom and this is not medical advice.

Activated Charcoal: Activated Charcoal acts as a great natural binder for toxin removal. It is great to keep on hand for accidental dietary infractions, stomach bugs, detox, and hangovers.  You can even make a paste of it or apply it topically to whiten teeth, reduce blemishes or even as a natural deodorant.  While activated charcoal can be incredibly beneficial, it is also very constipating and should be used in moderation.  I also understand that it can be damaging to the gut so we personally tend to avoid ingesting this unless we’ve had an accidental dietary infraction or are managing substantial detox.

Herbs: Chamomile, peppermint, marshmallow root, bidens, goldenseal, licorice, cloves, ginger, nettle, lavender, fennel

Essential Oil: Ginger, peppermint, lavender, grapefruit, doTerra DigestZen

Other:  Cold fighting pineapple ginger drink

For just gas and bloating: doTerra DigestZen and homeopathic Carbo Vegetabili 6c are AMAZING!!!!  If the gas smells like sulfur, you may want to incorporate some of the herb, astragalus
