We occasionally get letters or comments from parents that have seen improvements in health with REID. To help provide hope to so many still in the trenches, I’ve decided to make more of an effort to share some of these comments (with their permission, of course). Many of us don’t have it all figured out, but we cling to the hope and words of progress. Everyone’s journey is different, diet changes may not reap huge changes for all, but it is absolutely helping some. Like this family, glutamate and the REID diet have been a huge piece to our puzzle. Thank you for giving us hope…
“Progress! Although our days are still rough navigating through foods that are causing reactions. We are seeing so much progress. Aggression and impulsive behavior has gone down, Speech is becoming clearer, better listening, better sleep, the list goes on. I think the point that literally brought me to tears is having my almost 3 year old who has been having foods riced or blended to soups to get veggies in, today picked up cucumber slices and carrot slices and is eating them on his own with no prompting! And choosing them over his other food on his plate. It’s a moment like this that shows me all the struggle is worth it. So grateful for this group 🙌❤️
