We occasionally get letters or comments from parents that have seen improvements in health with REID. To help provide hope to so many still in the trenches, I’ve decided to make more of an effort to share some of these comments (with their permission, of course). Many of us don’t have it all figured out, but we cling to the hope and words of progress. “12 weeks. Such a short amount of time in the grand scheme but 12 weeks feels like a lifetime ago. 12 weeks ago I found Dr. Reid’s Ted Talk & @nourishedblessings Instagram/Website and after two hours of *holy shit, this is it* research, I RAN to the grocery and then started our new life. Looking back at my daily note-taking, we saw progress in (our son) on DAY 4 of the REID diet. 🤯
In the past 12 weeks, essentially every symptom we were concerned about (our son) is either completely GONE or DRASTICALLY improved. Frequently spacing out ✖️ GONE | Mucus in stool ✖️ GONE | Bloated belly ✖️ GONE | Swollen lymph nodes ✖️ GONE | Dark circles under eyes ✔️ MUCH better | Behavioral challenges ✔️ WORLDS difference, feels muuuch more age-appropriate | Apraxia of Speech ✔️ New words + sounds almost daily🙌🏼😭😍 | Additionally, he is just so much more focused, aware of his surroundings, happier and seems more and more like a typical 3 year old.
Taking the health of our family into our own hands has been extremely empowering. It’s also been hugely rewarding that by sharing our journey with my small circle of the Instagram world, I’ve been able to help other families who’s kiddos are struggling with similar issues. I’m just so thankful 🖤”
